66 Fairlane project:
This page is an update on my current project 66 Fairlane 2 door sedan
I purchased this car in Sacramento, California in September of 2000. It was a rust-free base model car with a 200 six cylinder and 3 speed manual transmission, built in September of 1965.I began working on it in November of 2001. It was disassembled down to the bare shell and prepped for a new coat of Wimbledon White paint and a super-stock fiberglass hood.
Power comes from a 351 Windsor, bored & stroked to 427 inches, backed up by a PA, column-shifted C4 transmission and 9 inch Detroit Locker with 3.50 gears. Other upgrades include front disc brakes, big-block rear brakes, subframe connectors, and Calvert Racing's "Cal-tracs" rear traction bars.
